WHY THIS WORK MATTERS
Real stories create real connection
Laura believes workplace wellbeing becomes more meaningful when people are given space to share real experiences. A personal story can capture attention, help others recognise parts of their own experience and inspire more open, supportive conversations.
Through Colours in Connection, Laura works alongside HR teams, hosts and storytellers to shape internal podcast conversations that are carefully prepared, thoughtfully supported and psychologically safe.
THE THINKING BEHIND THE METHOD
Why storytelling?
Capture. Relate. Inspire. is a simple but powerful framework Laura developed to help organisations create more open, psychologically safe conversations through internal wellbeing storytelling.
When someone shares their lived experience in a safe, guided conversation, it can capture attention in a way that traditional wellbeing materials often can’t.
As colleagues listen to someone share honestly about experiences such as stress, anxiety or personal growth, they begin to relate. They recognise parts of their own experiences and realise they may not be as alone as they thought.
That connection can inspire something further, reflection, reaching out, starting a conversation or perhaps sharing a story of their own.
At its heart, Capture. Relate. Inspire. is about creating moments of human connection that can contribute to meaningful cultural change.
How Capture. Relate. Inspire. works
A simple storytelling framework that turns personal experience into connection, reflection and more open workplace conversations.
01
Capture
When someone shares a real personal struggle, it draws people in and creates space for genuine listening.
02
Relate
Listeners naturally look for parts of their own experience in the story, building empathy and reducing the sense of being alone.
03
Inspire
A shared story can prompt reflection and encourage more open, supportive conversations across the workplace.
